On Saturday 11th February 2023, members the Provinces of West and South Wales and beyond congregated at the Masonic Hall, Harries Avenue, Llanelli to consecrate West Wales’s newest Lodge. So, keep an eye out for their summons as they could be appearing at a Masonic Hall near you.

Following the consecration ceremony, the new master of the Lodge W. Bro. Michael Cross was installed into the chair by V.W. Bro. Ryland James in impeccable fashion.

After the consecration the PGM James Ross commented:

“I was delighted to be able to Consecrate another exciting new Lodge in the Province of West Wales today. The Motorcycle Lodge has attracted new members from right across South and West Wales and beyond. I have no doubt that they will enjoy their freemasonry, their motorbikes and most importantly have a lot of fun along the way! I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Provincial Team for their support this afternoon. The Consecration Meeting was greatly enhanced by having so many members of the team present.”

Following the ceremony at the luncheon, 60 gathered Brethren dug deep and the Auction and Raffle raised a magnificent £638 which will be donated to Blood Bikes Wales in due course. The highlight of the auction was the sale of a magnificent, hand sewn motorcycle jacket kindly donated by W.Bro. David Inkin.

Many thanks to Bro. David Stewart-Walvin (Primus secretary) for the detail of the day, the PGM for his comments and W.Bro. Dirk Den Hartog for the photos.
