At the Installation meeting of Tenby Lodge around 80 brethren were treated to a first-class Proclamation ceremony, followed by a sumptuous Festive Board at the Giltar Hotel, where Worshipful Master David Marshall was presented with the silver medal for the lodge’s Festival 2026 contributions to date.

One very welcome attendee on the day was the highly valued and much-loved Tenby member Joe Taylor, who tragically lost his 50-year-old son Jason to heart failure just before Christmas. Jason had been a member of the lodge some years ago until working away prevented his attendance. He leaves two teenage children.

Joe and family decided that in lieu of floral tributes at the funeral, donations could be made to the Paul Sartori Foundation, the excellent Pembrokeshire charity that provides free hands-on care and clinical services to patients with life limiting illness in their own homes.

With such a large gathering at the Festive Board, the raffle raised a bumper £450. As it is the tradition at Tenby for the incoming Master to nominate a charity to receive the benefit of the raffle proceeds, W.Bro. David had no hesitation in nominating the Paul Sartori Foundation as the recipient of the £450 in memory of Jason Taylor.
