A Further Grant - Tanyard Youth Project - Pembroke

On Tuesday 9th May 2023, The Provincial Grand Master, James Ross and the Provincial Grand Charity Steward, Dirk den-Hartog were delighted to re-visit Tanyard Youth Project who have received a grant of £15,000 spread over 3 years from the MCF. The original grant in 2021 was used to  upgrade the equipment in the Film and Music Studio, the heart of digital arts learning at the Youth Project. The current grant is to assist Tanyard with their core costs to help them through the current cost of living crisis. It will enable them to provide a warm, safe and welcoming space that is attractive to young people.

The PGM really enjoyed his last visit in 2021 and on this occasion he couldn't wait to get his hands on one of the many musical instruments which are available for the use of the young people who enjoy the facilities.

Tanayrd is a Youth Club in Pembrokeshire, open six evenings a week throughout the year and welcome all 10–18-year-olds. They also provide daytime activities for adults 18+ and young people up to age 25 this year.

They aim to educate and assist young persons through their leisure time activities to develop their physical, mental, social, and spiritual capacities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society and their conditions of life may be improved and in furtherance of that object to provide in Pembroke a centre for meeting sessions and other forms of leisure time occupation for the benefit of young persons. The charity will always observe and encourage Christian values.
