Many Salvation Army churches and centres across the UK will be running a Christmas Present Appeal, collecting donated presents until mid-December.

The Worshipful Master of the Caerfyrddin Lodge W Bro Kevin McCarthy set about collecting children's gifts for the appeal. Together the members of the Lodge donated nearly 100 gifts to be distributed to families whose children would otherwise not receive a gift and help spread the joy of Christmas.   

The selection of gifts collected are seen here being presented to the Carmarthen Salvation Army representative Jamie Jones and his wife Clare with a representation of the members of the Caerfyrddin Lodge.

This year, the Salvation Army are expecting the number of families requesting help to rise because of the cost-of-living crisis.

Please support your local area Christmas Present Appeal by finding your nearest appeal and donating new, unwrapped toys and gifts for children who might not otherwise receive a Christmas present. The gifts will then be wrapped and distributed to those in need.
