The second round of the West Wales Golf was held at Derllys Court, the weather was fantastic, and we had a turnout of 9 golfers and 1 guest, quality not quantity!

The scores from the first round were Tenby 94 and Cambrian 117 but it was by no means a done deal, Tenby came with 5 players and Cambrian could only manage 2 ,I must admit I thought it would be close but knew my team mate would have to play as well as he did in the first round for us to stand any chance.

As it turned out the result was very close, Tenby’s best 3 cards totaled 88 and Cambrians 2 cards were 68, final result Cambrian 185 Tenby 182.

The best player over the 2 rounds was Bro Mathew Lockyear of Cambrian with 76 points.

We had a nice meal followed by the presentations of the cups and prizes, when I returned home my wife Sue was not too pleased to see me bringing home the cup again as she thought it was the end of cleaning it!

Next match should be in Carmarthen in September details to follow.
