September Quarterly Communication - Wednesday 13th September 2023

As you may already be aware from the recent First Rising email, the September Quarterly Communication of Grand Lodge will take place at midday on Wednesday 13th September 2023 in the International Conference Centre at the Celtic Manor Resort, just outside Newport.

It is 100 years since the Quarterly Communication of Grand Lodge was held outside London, so the fact that it is coming to Monmouthshire is a unique opportunity for the Brethren of West Wales to attend and take part in one of the flagship moments of our Constitution.

The Provincial Grand Master, RW Bro James Ross and his Executive Team invite all West Wales Brethren to join them at this exciting Quarterly Communication in September. All Master Masons and above are eligible to attend and the Province is planning to provide free transport to and from the venue. If you're not currently a Master Mason, but will be by September 13th, you can come too!

To express an interest in attending, please email the Provincial Assistant Grand Secretary, W Bro Adrian Thomas at asec@wwmason.com with your name, Lodge and Masonic Rank, so that your name can be added to the list. The finer details of the day will depend on the numbers attending, but please express your interest now, so that the details can be submitted to UGLE. The text of the orginal First Rising email can be found below.

As previously announced by the Pro Grand Master, and for the first time since before the Second World War, a Quarterly Communication of Grand Lodge will be held outside of London. Please, therefore, be aware that the September Quarterly Communication of Grand Lodge will be held at the International Convention Centre in Caerleon, near Newport, Wales on Wednesday 13th September 2023.

All Grand Officers will be invited to participate and invite guests. To facilitate the sending of personal invitations to each attendee, Provincial/Metropolitan/District Grand Lodges will be requested to submit names of Brethren in the following categories: Masters, Past Masters and Wardens of Lodges, Provincial Grand Lodge Officers/SLGR/LGR/District Grand Officers and Master Masons.

We expect this innovative event to be heavily subscribed and full details will be circulated in due course. Please ensure this notice is read out at the First Rising of all Lodges in your Province.
