Teddy on Tour - West Wales

Whilst in West Wales, Red Teddy called in at Withybush Hospital A&E where over 8,000 TLC teddies have been given to children over the years. Accompanied by Head of West Wales Freemasons, James Ross, Teddy got to meet A&E Consultant Nicola Drake, Senior Sister Andrea Williams, and Emergency Nurse Practitioner Andrea Owens. Some of his furry friends were already there of course, ready to work their magic on poorly children. He blushed when Senior Sister Andrea told him that red teddies were the ones that kids loved most!

Red Ted took time out to catch some rays at beautiful Tenby Harbour with West Wales TLC Coordinator Steve Thurgood. Steve told him that the Province of West Wales adopted TLC in 2005 and has since provided over 33,000 teddies to the four hospitals in the area as well as two health centres. They have also donated teddies to a women’s refuge.

Before he dashed off to his next stop in Shropshire Steve took him to the mighty Scarlets Rugby Team stadium in Llanelli! Go Reds!
