At a recent virtual meeting of the Neyland Lodge 990, it was agreed to make donations to local charities from the Lodge’s general fund.

The Charities selected to receive donations were :-

• Dogs for the Blind, specifically dogs under training in the area.
• Greenacres Animal Rescue
• Neyland Men’s Shed, They are community spaces for men to connect, converse and create. The activities are often similar to those of garden sheds, but for groups of men to enjoy together. They help reduce loneliness and isolation, but most importantly, they are fun
• Development of Sport for Children in Neyland
• Stroke Association Support in Pembrokeshire
• Pembrokeshire Talking Newspapers for the blind.
• Neyland Heritage and Neyland Cultural Purposes Fund https://neylandnews.org.uk/preserving-and-celebrating-neyland/

Total amount of donations by the Lodge was £2,600, this ha been sent to the charities and it is anticipated that when things revert to normal, an official presentation will be held at Neyland Masonic Lodge.

Many thanks to the Brethren for the hard work and investigation that went into preparing and selecting the Charities, At this time there are so many smaller local charities needing and deserving support and Neyland Lodge was pleased to be able to support these in some way during this difficult time.
