West Wales Donation of £10k to HAHAV charity

On Thursday afternoon, 16th February 2023, the PGM made a presentation of a grant of £10k on behalf of the West Wales Freemasons and the MCF to Dr Alan Axford.  Dr Axford is the chairman of HAHAV - Hospice At Home Aberystwyth Volunteers.

The charity is a volunteer-led charity providing free support to people across Ceredigion who are living with an incurable or life-limiting illness.

THe charity's aim is to help people live their lives to the full during the precious time they have left and to support family and friends with the challenges the face both now and in the futire.

The money provided by the West Wales Masons and the MCF will be used as part of a much larger project to purchase Plas Antaron which is the charity's 'Living Well Centre'. This has been a long term project which received a much needed boost in December 2022, when the received grant funding from both the Wesk and British Governments. The £10k provided by the Freemasons take them to within touching distance of their goal.
