Aeron & Peterwell Chapter Hold Special Meeting

At the Aeron and Peterwell Chapter meeting in May four Candidates for Exaltation were proposed. As the next scheduled meeting of the Chapter was the Installation meeting in October it was decided to hold an extra meeting to Exalt all four Candidates: a double double ceremony.

The extra meeting took place at 12 noon on Saturday 25th July in the presence of the Deputy Grand Superintendent, E Comp Philip Jones, and the 2nd and 3rd Provincial Grand Principals, E Comps Tony Trumper and Gareth Owen, plus a number of visitors.

The four Candidates, Brothers Martin Evans, Robert Thomas, Justin Moffat, and Koray Yusuf were then Exalted into Royal Arch Masonry in the double double ceremony.

The Chapter also took the opportunity to admit a Joining Member, E Comp Robert Steele, and to present a Grand Chapter Certificate to Comp Dean Pitman.

It was agreed by all that this was a very successful and unique meeting and, to quote the Deputy Grand Superintendent, “If there isn’t a book on how to conduct a double double ceremony then Aeron and Peterwell Chapter should write it.”
