Clive Webb Celebrates 50 Years In Royal Arch Masonry

Clive Webb 50 Years in Royal Arch Masonry!

Dep Grand Supt Phil Jones said.

It is my great pleasure this evening to present this fifty year Chapter membership certificate on behalf of the Most Ex Grand Supt to one of the most well known masons in West Wales, Clive Richard Webb you are a Tenby man born and bred in 1946 ,your father Jack was a very well respected and knowledgeable Mason . Your working life like that of your father was in the fire service where like him you were the captain. After retiring you joined your brother as a painter and decorator. However, you travelled outside Pembrokeshire to the Gwendraeth valley to find your lovely wife Ruth. you have two children and four grandchildren. A committed member of St Marys church serving as warden and involved with the bell ringing.

After your successful treatment for prostate cancer, you made a great effort to raise money for Prostate Cymru taking part in Triathlons, one with your daughter Tori. You held many other fund-Raising events and raised a total of nearly £9000. A wonderful effort of service to others.

It was natural that under the guidance of your father that you would follow in the family tradition and were initiated into Tenby Lodge in 1974 and you were installed as Master in 2001, after that you have served many offices in the lodge and at present are Chaplain, you are also a member of Kensington lodge of installed masters and you were Senior Deacon in 2023. In Provincial Grand Lodge you have served as Provincial Grand Pursuivant, Dept Grand D C in 2016, and Provincial Senior Grand Warden in 2019.

In 1975 you were exalted into Dinbych Chapter serving as Zerubbabel in 2004 and again last year .Since leaving the chairs you have served as D C no less than five times, you are a member of the West Wales Chapter of Installed Principals .In Provincial Grand Chapter you have served as second Assistant Grand Sojourner, Provincial Grand Sword Bearer and in 2022 you were installed as Third Provincial Grand Principal , never putting a foot wrong with your delivery of the most difficult address in Masonry and making the life of the then Provincial DC very easy ,but with lots of laughs .

In Supreme Grand Chapter the First Grand Principal His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent was pleased to appoint you to the Rank of Past Grand Standard Bearer in 2016 .

Clive you have served your Lodge ,Chapter and your Province with distinction over many years and I am sure and trust for many years to come and it therefore gives me great pleasure and I consider it a great honour to present you with this Certificate and badge to mark over fifty years of membership and loyal service to the Royal Arch .
