Unveiling of Portrait of Bishop Dorrien Davies

On Saturday 13th December 2026 a most enjoyable afternoon was had, when members of clergy, staff, family and friends of Bishop Dorrien, together with the Provincial Grand Master A James Ross with other members of the executive were in attendance at Abergwili Church Carmarthen to witness the unveiling of a Portrait of Bishop Dorrien Davies which had been commissioned and donated by the Masonic Province of West Wales.

 

A local young artist from St David's Jack Wheatley, was personally chosen by the Bishop to paint his portrait. Jack is a contemporary Welsh Artist, often working in Pembrokeshire and known for his expressive paintings inspired by nature, landscapes, and figurative subjects, showcasing talent and realistic portraiture.

 

The Portrait will be permanently displayed at Llys Esgob Carmarthen alongside former Bishops from the St David's Diocese.
