Tenby Lodge was delighted to invite representatives of three local worthy causes to their Masonic Hall to receive donations, namely the Paul Sartori Foundation, the Pembrokeshire branch of the National Autistic Society and the Tenby Friendship Club.

Tenby Lodge has been a regular supporter of the Paul Sartori Foundation over the years and considers their Hospice at Home service to be vital to people with life limiting illness and their families across Pembrokeshire.

The local branch of the National Autistic Society has around seven hundred members and the committee organise events and outings such as tenpin bowling and swimming parties, a Trainmaster model railway visit and Christmas parties for parents and carers. Branch Treasurer Gill Totten said, “we’re currently arranging a trip for about 100 people to Clerkenhill Adventure Farm for which the cost is considerable, so we are very grateful to Tenby Lodge for their assistance.”

Tenby Friendship Club is a group of local people that arrange visits to buildings and places of historical interest in the area, and recently some of their members had been invited to Tenby Masonic Hall where the history and purpose of Freemasonry was explained to them by Lodge members. The Club was in the process of arranging a visit to Haverfordwest with lunch so were pleased to receive a contribution from Tenby Lodge.

Lodge Charity Steward Steve Thurgood commented “the community is important to us, so we are very happy to support these local groups who provide their time and energy to improve the lives of others.”
