Mackworth Club A.G.M.

On Saturday, 26th July 2025 the seventh A.G.M. of the Mackworth Club took place at the Masonic Hall, Carmarthen. During the meeting, a new Chairman for the forthcoming year was voted in. Bro. Oliver Jones thanked the members for their support and outlined his vision for the coming year.

As the new Chairman he was the first person to be presented with a Mackworth Club tie, which was unveiled on the day.

The normal agenda items were then dealt with including selecting officers for the year, the President’s address and the address by the outgoing Chairman who thanked everybody for their support during his tenure.

Prior to the gust speaker taking centre stage W.Bro. Nathan Morrison (Inaugural Chairman) gave a brief talk about the man who inspired the name of the club and what his inspiration as a Freemason and a man meant to the members who set up the club.

It was then on to the main event of the afternoon, W.Bro. James Dalton one of the CraftCast presenters gave a short talk on his Masonic journey and his time as a presenter of the very informative and enjoyable podcast. This was followed by a brief but lively Q & A session, handled with aplomb.

Attendance at this year’s meeting was excellent with members travelling from all three counties in the Province. The new Chairman looks forward to your support during the year and hopes at least as many of you who were there today will join him next year when his successor will be elected. Date and venue to be advised.
