So, taking some time away from Lodge, learning ritual lines and dark suits, members of the Mackworth Club arrived in Ginger in Carmarthen for an evening friendship, fun and jal-frezi!
The Cobra was flowing; the chutney trays and poppadom’s were passed around and instantly the conversation jumped to “Are you going to London for the Light Blues in May?!” Everyone at the table responding in the affirmative and the excitement and anticipation of the event was palpable. Trips to Cardiff to visit other Light Blues clubs were put on the table and a group of men, who have all become friends through Freemasonry, enjoyed an evening in each other’s company.
In an epidemic of loneliness and mental health challenges amongst young men, it was a pleasure to see fraternal links and friendship so evident in a group.
