Degree By Request

For lodge secretaries who are familiar with the workings of Hermes a degree by request had the most pleasant of outcomes as the brethren of Frenni Lodge 8427 found out on their recent visit to Peterwell lodge 4713.

Bro Gareth Bryant had been initiated and passed in Frenni lodge. 

Bro Gareth had been taught in secondary school by VW Brother Tom Evans and it felt perfect to press the button and ask for a degree by request. Peterwell lodge promptly responded and on Thursday the 18^th April was a night to remember for all the right reasons where Bro Gareth Bryant was raised to the sublime degree of a Master Mason using the Sheffield workings and with ritual of the highest standards. W Bro Aled Williams conducted his first meeting in King Solomon’s chair with authority and grace, supported by W Bro Emyr Davies, W Bro Dave Smith and W Bro Rev Aled Lewis making perfect contributions to a perfect evening.

A large contingent of visiting brethren had a warm welcome and a very generous festive board.  The ties between the lodges will further strengthen and grow.
