Tenby Obtain Gold Medal Status

At the Installation meeting of Tenby Lodge, outgoing Master David Marshall who has led the lodge with distinction for 2 years, installed new Master Tony Upham in a faultless manner.

Eighty two brethren attended the ceremony, during which the Deputy Provincial Grand Master and 2026 Festival Chairman V.W. Bro. Ryland James was delighted to present W.Bro. Tony with a Gold Medal for the Lodge’s achievement in exceeding their Festival Target in support of the Masonic Charitable Foundation, following a further donation by the lodge of £5,000. A Gold Medal means that the lodge has donated £1,000 per member!

The Festive board took place at the Giltar Hotel on Tenby Esplanade, where good food and a convivial atmosphere were enjoyed by all. The raffle raised the bumper sum of £430, and it is the Tenby tradition that the new Master nominates a charity to receive the Installation raffle proceeds. W.Bro. Tony duly nominated the Pembrokeshire branch of the National Autistic Society.
