Poppit Surf Lifesaving Club

Brethren from Frenni Lodge visited Poppit Surf Live Saving Club recently to receive thanks and appreciation for the £600 donation made earlier in the year.

The £600 came from West Wales Masons and was spent on a selection of new wet suits by the club. The wet suits are held at the club to allow new entrants an opportunity to experience the sport before investing in their own wet suit. The donation has removed a barrier to enjoying the sport.

W Bro Dirk Den Hartog (Provincial Charity Steward) along with W Bro Huw Evans (ruling master) and W Bro Kevin Jones (Charity Steward) where met and shown around the facilities by Mrs Liwsi Harries (Secretary of PSLSC). The facilities are used by upwards of 120 people every week from nippers to the senior members. With beach and sea activities taking place over the summer before returning to the swimming pool for winter training.

The club competes at a national level across all age categories with some members competing at international level.
