Pictured with the recipients are W Bro Aled Williams, Worshipful Master and W Bro Keith Edwards, Charity Steward.
At the banquet following his installation, the new Worshipful Master of Peterwell Lodge, W Bro Aled Williams, said that all the raffle money raised during his year in office would be used to support local good causes.
This was recently put into practice when he made two presentations. He presented a cheque for £400 to Mrs Dorothy Williams, organiser of the Lampeter Young at Heart Club and this was accompanied by a cheque for a further £600 from the Province.
The Lampeter Young at Heart Club holds monthly afternoon teas and organises coach trips for the Senior Citizens of the Lampeter area and the residents of the local care home.
He also presented a cheque for £300 to Mr Dorian Jones, secretary of the Lampeter Eisteddfod which continues the long tradition of Peterwell Lodge supporting this major event in the town.
The recipients of both presentations expressed their sincere gratitude to the Freemasons for their generosity.
