Freemasonry in West Wales Suspended

18th December 2020

Dear Brethren and Companions,

I refer to the announcement by the First Minister on 19 December 2020, that Level 4 restrictions for household mixing, staying-at-home, holiday accommodation and travel will come into force at midnight on Saturday 19 December 2020.

Level 4 Restrictions clearly state that “Organised Activities” are limited to public and voluntary services. It will therefore be illegal for masonic meetings to take place until these restrictions are lifted and freemasonry in West Wales is suspended until further notice.

Many lodges and chapters have already taken the decision to suspend themselves and some masonic centres have taken the decision to remain closed. Clearly, their situation will not be affected by the new regulations.

The Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master / Most Excellent Grand Superintendent would like to take this opportunity to wish you, and your loved ones, a Christmas full of hope and good health, so that we can enjoy each other’s company, in 2021; when safe to do so.

Brethren and Companions, we all look forward to the day when we can meet, and we wish you and your families well.

Kind regards

Yours sincerely and fraternally,

Anthony C Trumper

Provincial Grand Secretary/Scribe E
