Aberystwyth Lodge Donate to Aberystwyth Blood Bikes

Aberystwyth Lodge 1072 were extremely pleased to present a cheque for the sum of £600 to the Aberystwyth Blood Bikes, being the MCF award passed on to them by the Province of West Wales. 

During the meeting the members agreed to top up this award with an additional £400 and the representatives of the Blood Bikes were invited into the temple, after it was closed, to receive both cheques. They then gave members a very interesting talk about the organisation and the work they do, including the little known fact that they collect donated breast milk from mothers and deliver it to a central milk bank from where it is distributed to babies in need.

At the festive board following the meeting those present agreed that the proceeds from the raffle that night would be added to the donation making a total of £1,120 given. The Bikers were overwhelmed by the generosity shown and thanked everyone warmly.
