Update from Gwenllian Morris on behalf of Aberaeron Youth Club
‘As promised, I would like to update you with where we are at with spending and delivering boxing sessions following the kind donation we had beginning of the year. The boxing kit has arrived, and we have started delivering the sessions in Aberaeron – see attached some pictures. We are in the middle of arranging a qualified boxer to come into Youth Club, before Christmas hopefully to deliver, (at least) five consecutive weeks of boxing sessions. The aim here is to offer young people in the community (a different night to Youth Club) to take part in boxing sessions. We are hoping to target the young people causing anti-social behaviour in the community. We have been engaging with Lampeter community over the summer with Y Fan. If the boxing sessions go well in Aberaeron, we will review this and aim to deliver some sessions in Lampeter if we can.’
Response by Nick Sawyer of Aberaeron Lodge & Aeron & Peterwell Chapter
‘Thank you so much for this exciting update, which is most pleasing to hear. We wish you well for the future of this project and congratulate you for getting it off the ground. It is very
gratifying for us to have been part of the initiation process and to have assisted with funds from Aeron & Peterwell Royal Arch Chapter and
Aeron Craft Lodge No 7208’.
